International Day is about celebrating all the different cultures of our community. On the day we had dancers from Bangladesh, Serbia and Somalia and the Steel Band. We had different foods to sample from around the world. We also had a bouncy castle, face painting, hook-a-duck, ride a pony and many more fun activities.
We had our Sports Day at the park. We took part in lots of different races – egg and spoon, sack, running and three-legged. We also threw foam javelins as far as we could. We threw bean bags into hoops. We balanced quoits and bean bags on our heads and bean bags on rackets. We all won medals. Our teachers and parents had races too!
All of our classes at went on a day trip to Chalkwell seaside. We invited family members to join us for a day of fun. We travelled to the seaside on the C2C train from Limehouse to Chalkwell.
Once we arrived at the seaside we all sat down and had a picnic. Some of the children built sand castles and splashed in the sea whilst others looked for crabs and other types of sea creatures. We all had a wonderful time together at the Chalkwell seaside! |
