Equalities
Everything that we do in our Nursery School reflects the variety of backgrounds, customs and languages of all our children.
It is the intention of the staff that no child suffers in any way by virtue of his/her gender, race, culture or religion. Nursery staff do not allow any behaviour that hurts or offends others and try to help children understand how hurtful this behaviour can be. What happens in the school should help every child to develop both self-esteem and respect for others.
In following this policy, we seek the help and support of parents. It is only by having a consistent approach at home and at school that our children can come to a genuine understanding and appreciation of the equality of all people and the contribution they can make as individuals, as part of the School, and as they grow up, as part of the community.
