Organisation of the Nursery

Old Church Nursery and Pre-School has four classes
  • Red Room
  • Yellow Room
  • Blue Room
  • Orange Room
We provide nursery education for full time children and part time children and part time pre-school for two year olds.
All the classes are organised in a similar way. Each room is staffed with a teacher, two nursery nurses, a teaching assistant and a meals supervisor.
When your child starts Nursery, you will have a meeting with their Key Worker, who may be a teacher or a nursery nurse.
This is the person who will get to know you and your child especially well.  This person will be responsible for settling your child in to Nursery and will meet with you at least once a term to discuss your child’s progress.
Every morning the gates are open for fifteen minutes to enable you to have a brief chat with your Key Worker if necessary.

School Hours: The school day is 9.15am until 3.15pm.
  • Morning part-time 9.15 – 11.55
  • Full-time 9.15 – 3.15
  • Pre- School Hours Orange Room: 1pm-3.20pm Mon-Fri

The gates are open from 9.15-9.20am and 3.15-3.20pm.
If your child arrives after these times it will be recorded as late.
